This large painting is a tribute to all tusker elephants that suffer from the catastrophic consequences of the ivory trade. The work is called 'Bombyx', named after a huge tusker that was living in Makalali Game Reserve (South Africa) when I was visiting in 2018.

The proceeds of this artwork will go to Game Rangers International (GRI), a Zambian non-profit organisation focused primarily on ranger training, wildlife rescue operations, involving local communities and keeping an elephant orphanage. Their Resource Protection Programme protects Zambia's wildlife by countering illegal wildlife crime, and currently supports over 100 frontline rangers.
