The Keel-billed Toucan, the national symbol of Costa Rica, is a wonderful, intelligent bird. There are six Toucan species living in Costa Rica, several of which have overlapping territories, and this sometimes gives spectacular views where multiple toucan species are sitting in the same tree, painting the canopy with their colorful bills.

The proceeds of this artwork will go to the Toucan Rescue Ranch, a non-profit organisation situated in the center of Costa Rica, specializing in rescuing wounded Toucans and Sloths, but also take in many other species. Make sure you visit their great website or sanctuary one day.
