Puffins are cute sea birds. They are beacons of marine birdlife, unmistakable for their carotenoid-coloured bills. These birds suffer at the frontline from the effects of climate change. Their habitats are becoming more scarce. A fantastic place to still see them in all their glory is probably Skomer Island off the coast of Wales, UK. The island is accessible to the public, and revenue generated from ecotourism is ensuring the protection of the island ecosystems and the wildlife that nests on it.
The proceeds of this artwork will go to the Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales, a local Wildlife Trust conservation branch that rebuilds and protects inland and coastal ecosystems and aims to engage people with it. One of their appeals is focused on sea birds like the Atlantic Puffin.
