The Road Ahead is a metaphor for the strong beliefs conservationists must be driven by, against the global decline of nature. The chimpanzee trots playfully into the African rainforest, with forest light shining on his face. It shows us that, although there is a lot of work to do, there are regular groundbreaking ‘wins’ in conservation, many of which are originating from a bottom-up approach.
